Sesame Place Kicks Off 2026 Season
The Middletown Township amusement park also has a St. Patrick's Day celebration planned for this weekend.
MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Sesame Place Philadelphia will kick off its 2026 season with a parade on Saturday and a St. Patrick's Day celebration this weekend.
The Langhorne-based amusement park will be celebrating its 45th anniversary this year, along with a new company president, Mike Taylor.
Taylor is a Bucks County resident and previously spent more than a decade in various leadership positions at the park.

“After a long and snowy winter, my team and I are so excited to welcome guests back. Our team has been working hard during the off-season to prepare for all the furry fun ahead, and we can’t wait for guests to see everything we have in store," Taylor said.
To kick off the season, Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and their Sesame Street friends will make their grand entrance down the parade route in the new "Opening Day Parade."

The special parade, exclusive only for Saturday, is full of music, color, and even provides a glimpse of the furry fun in store for the 2026 season!
The season will begin with two fan-favorite festivities:
- St. Patrick’s Day Celebration on March 14 & 15
The St. Patrick’s Day Celebration will feature the return of the St. Patrick’s Day Dine with Elmo & Friends, Grover’s Clover Scavenger Hunt, the Furry Friends St. Patrick’s Day Dance Party, and performances from the Rince Ri School of Irish Dance.
- Furry Friends Weekend on March 21 & 22
Due to popular demand, Furry Friends Weekend is back for a springtime appearance! The celebration features the Character Meet & Greet Extravaganza, where guests can meet their favorite furry friends, including beloved and nostalgic friends like Barkley. The Sesame Street Neighborhood will be full of extra color and character with encore performances of “Our Street is Sesame Street” and pop-up appearances from Hoots the Owl, the Cluckettes, and more furry friends. For an extra-special treat, guests can celebrate Big Bird’s birthday at Big Bird’s Pajama Party Dine, featuring a delicious brunch buffet.
Sesame Place Philadelphia will celebrate four seasons of furry fun in 2026. Guests can enjoy their favorite whirling, twirling, soaring, and spinning Sesame Street-themed attractions, character stage shows, and the award-winning Sesame Street Party Parade.
