The new playground at the Middletown Township amusement park will be 3,000 square feet.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —Sesame Place is planning to open a new playground at its amusement park this spring.

The 123 Playground will have adults and children alike counting all of the delightful ways to climb, hop, and play at this imaginative and colorful play area. Located just across from the iconic Sesame Street Neighborhood, the 123 Playground will be surrounded by blooming flowerbeds and friendly topiaries modeled after Sesame Street friends.
The all-new play area will provide seating for adults to relax and recharge under garden-inspired shades while their youngest ones run around and enjoy classic playground elements, Sesame Place said in a press release.

This includes slides, soft play mounds, and interactive play panels featuring entertaining activities that children can enjoy on their own or with others, creating an experience that is physically and developmentally engaging.
“We are thrilled to share our plans for 2024. After speaking with many of our guests and Season Pass Members, the most requested attraction for our park has been a playground where children of all ages can climb, hop, and play, and we’re so excited to bring this request to life,” said Cathy Valeriano, the park's president. “Families come to Sesame Place to enjoy rides and attractions suited for all ages, and the 123 Playground will provide a charming and welcoming spot for our youngest guests to play and relax together.”
The 123 Playground will be centrally located at the former site of the Sunny Day Carousel, with easy access to dining, shopping locations, and Meet & Greets with everyone’s favorite furry friends.
The Sunny Day Carousel, currently being colorfully renovated, will move to the center of Sesame Plaza, greeting guests as they enter the theme park. The Sunny Day Carousel will open in its new location in Spring 2024.
Guests can purchase a 2024 Season Pass to be among the first to experience the new 123 Playground, along with unlimited furry fun and unbelievable benefits all season long.
This includes exclusive, Season Pass Member-Only Character Meet and Greets, events, and previews, in addition to all-new premium benefits in 2024, including a free Dine with Elmo & Friends experience and Double Your Discount on food and merchandise.
