Silver Lake Road Reopens After Flash Flooding Damage
The two-lane road in Middletown Township had suffered damage from flash flooding on July 15.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —Nearly a month after it was closed for storm damage, Silver Lake Road has reopened.
The Middletown Township Police Department said Tuesday that the road was open to the delight of motorists who expressed their relief after saying that detours like Woodbourne Road were bad alternatives.
Following the flash flooding that hit Lower Bucks County on July 15, the Middletown Township Police Department closed the road between Stone Bridge Court and Banks Road until further notice due to damage from recent storms.

According to Levittown Now, township engineer Isaac Kessler said the Bucks County-owned bridge over Core Creek isn’t wide enough to have a large amount of stormwater go under it.
The county-owned bridge was constructed in the 1990s and carries about 500 vehicles each day prior to the closure, Levittown Now reported.
