Single-Lane Closure For Interstate 295 Overnight Construction
PennDOT said the highway project starts Monday night in Bristol and Middletown townships.

LEVITTOWN, PA —Motorists should expect a single-lane closure overnight on Interstate 295 starting Monday for a construction project, PennDOT said.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that rumble strip and delineator installation is planned at night on Interstate 295 under a $45.4 million improvement project to perform high-priority repairs on several structures on I-295, Interstate 95, and Interstate 476 in Bucks, Philadelphia, and Delaware counties.

- Monday, June 26, and Tuesday, June 27, from 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a single lane closure is scheduled on eastbound and/or westbound I-295 between the Route 413 (Bristol) and Business U.S. 1/Route 413 (Penndel/Levittown) interchanges in Bristol and Middletown townships.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Repairs to the structures under this project include replacing rocker bearings, frozen sliding plate bearings and deck expansion joints; cleaning and painting steel beams; repairing substructure concrete; and reconstructing bearing pedestals.

The project also includes the replacement of high mast light poles along the I-95 corridor in Philadelphia and Delaware counties.
Driscoll Construction Company, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general contractor on the project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
