Snow Day For Bristol Township Schools Friday Due To Weather Warning
A winter storm warning begins at 4 a.m. Friday, as parts of the Philadelphia metro could get 4 to 6 inches of snow.
LEVITTOWN, PA — Bristol Township Schools has cancelled classes Friday, due to an incoming snowstorm that could make travel conditions dangerous for staff and students.
The district said there are no academic requirements for students or instructional staff on Friday, Jan. 19, in an announcement Thursday night.
"All district events and activities for Friday are postponed/cancelled," the district said. "We will evaluate the weekend’s scheduled events and activities on Friday and communicate through those hosting organizations and entities."

Forecasters issued a winter storm warning in Lower Bucks County beginning at 4 a.m. Friday and lasting until 10 p.m. Snowfall is scheduled to begin Friday morning and could bring 4 to 6 inches of accumulation.
The National Weather Service advised people in the Philadelphia metro area to avoid driving on Friday, "as road conditions will deteriorate as the day progresses."

The metro area has not had a winter storm warning since Jan. 29, 2022, so it has been close to two years since there have been significant impacts from snow in the area.
