Solar Eclipse Early Dismissal Planned For Neshaminy Students

The Neshaminy School District is joining others in the region to send students home early for Monday's solar eclipse.

LANGHORNE, PA —With the partial solar eclipse just days away, the Neshaminy School District is sending students home early to witness this astronomical event.

School officials said that all Neshaminy schools will have early dismissal on Monday due to the eclipse.

The dismissal schedule is as follows:

  • High School: Dismisses at 11:30 a.m.
  • Middle Schools: Dismiss at 12:15 p.m.
  • Elementary Schools: Dismiss at 1 p.m.

All students will receive lunch service before departure. Neshaminy Kids Club will not have an afternoon session on Monday.

  • Co-curricular activities scheduled for the afternoon, including sports games and practices, will either be moved indoors or postponed. Please check with coaches and co-curricular advisors for details of schedule changes.
  • Evening (past 5 p.m.) co-curricular and sports activities will be held as scheduled.
  • School and district offices will be open on their normal schedules.
