Armed Standoff Between Man, Cops Forces Evacuation In Falls Township
Falls Township Police said the man was inside a Nightengale Lane home Tuesday. Neighbors had to be evacuated.
FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —A standoff with an armed that took place for more than an hour on Tuesday was resolved without further incident, police said.
The Falls Township Police Department responded at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday to the unit block of Nightengale Lane in Levittown to investigate the report of an armed 26-year-old man who was holed up in the home and threatening self-harm.
Falls Township police officers —who are crisis negotiators for the Bucks County South SWAT Team —successfully negotiated the man's surrender peacefully around 12:45 p.m.

Bensalem Township Police provided SWAT operators to assist during negotiations.
The man was transported to a crisis center for evaluation and treatment.

No one was injured.
Residents who were temporarily evacuated from surrounding homes were allowed to return by 1 p.m. Tuesday.
