MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —Stormwater improvements will occur for several days this week, causing a lane closure for drivers in the township, PennDOT said.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said stormwater improvements are planned under a $14.9 million project to upgrade stormwater management facilities on more than 90 state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
