Swimmer Found Dead In Delaware River In Falls Twp.: Police
Falls Township Police said a Trenton, N.J., man was pulled out by the current Saturday night while swimming with friends.
FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —A 37-year-old Trenton, N.J., man is dead after he was pulled out by the current while swimming with friends in the Delaware River Saturday night, police said.
The Falls Township Police Department was dispatched to the area of Biles Island at 6:10 p.m. Saturday for the report of a drowning.
Police said the man had gone swimming in a cove area with three other friends and was pulled out by the current.

Another one of his friends was also pulled out by the current, police said.
A boater nearby observed both men being pulled out. The boater rescued the friend by throwing him a floating device and bringing the friend to shore, police said.

When the boater returned for the victim, he observed him go underwater.
The victim's body was located at roughly 7:30 p.m. by Trenton's Dive Team and New Jersey State Police.
Police said the victim was transported to Capital Health in Trenton where he was pronounced dead at 8 p.m. His identity was not released.
