Take A Look At The New I-95-Turnpike Interchange: VIDEO

The video was made during a Sept. 21 ceremony and provides aerial views of the interchange, which was decades in the making.

LEVITTOWN, PA — By now, lots of Bucks County motorists have gotten a chance to use the new interchange connecting Interstate 95 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Now, you've got a chance to take a look at it from up high.

On Sept. 21, transportation officials held a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the opening of the long-awaited interchange, which was decades in the making and cost about $450 million. Urban Engineers, which has served as the construction manager for the interchange project, shared video with Patch of the day.

The video includes never-before-seen aerial views of the interchange, which officially makes I-95 the longest north-south corridor in the nation.

"Motorists who travel in this area have been waiting a long time to realize the benefits this direct link will bring, namely reduced congestion on Bucks County roadways and improved traffic flow in the Philadelphia region and the entire east coast" said PA Turnpike Commissioner Pasquale T. Deon Sr. at the Sept. 21 event. "At 1,900 miles, I-95 is the longest north-south artery in the United States and our most-used highway regarding vehicle miles traveled."
