LANGHORNE, PA —The Neshaminy School District will pay its respects to veterans with a ceremony at Maple Point Middle School on Thursday, the first time the event is in school in three years.

The Maple Point Middle School 8th grade will once again hold its annual in-person Veterans Day Ceremony to pay tribute to the nation's active and retired service members.

More than 100 guests have attended in past years. So far, 55 veterans have registered to join in this year's ceremony. The 2020 ceremony was canceled due to the pandemic, and last year it was replaced with an outdoor car parade.

The ceremony takes place at Maple Point Middle School, 2250 Langhorne-Yardley Road in Langhorne Thursday. Festivities begin with a pre-ceremony reception at 9:30 a.m., the ceremony at 10:30 a.m. and then a post-ceremony photo at 11:30 a.m.

The school is bringing the event back into the auditorium where students will deliver a tribute to their guests with speeches, music, and a reading of each of their names, military branch and years served.
