BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —A Waste Management garbage truck burst into flames in a neighborhood Monday morning, fire officials said. See video below.
The Levittown Fire Company No. 2 Station 13 was dispatched just before 11 a.m. Monday to the Rolling Lane-Red Cedar Hill section of Levittown in Bristol Township.
Arriving units found a propane-fueled, front-load Waste Management trash truck fully involved.

After several explosions of propane, firefighters combated the fire with several hand lines and a squirt truck to extinguish the fire. Rescue 13 and Engine 10 dropped separate supply lines to protect nearby structures.
Fire officials said the garbage truck was 3/4 full with trash when it exploded.

The fire was under control within an hour, fire officials said.
The Edgely Fire Company and Bristol Township Fire Rescue also responded to the scene.
No injuries were reported.
