Woman Sexually Assaulted On Delaware Canal Towpath: PD

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Pennsylvania State Police seek a man who sexually assaulted a woman along the Delaware Canal Towpath in Bristol on Saturday afternoon.

State Police said the incident took place at 2 p.m. on Saturday on a hiking trail along the towpath, a 59-mile trail which stretches from Easton to Bristol.

State Police believe the woman was walking along the towpath between Hanes and Edgely roads when she was approached by a man she didn't know, who then sexually assaulted her.

Following the incident, officials said, the woman was hospitalized. The extent of her injuries are unknown at this time.

State Police did not provide any details about the man they are seeking.
