10 Pounds Of Pot Confiscated From Montgomery County Home

Police detected a "very strong odor of marijuana" coming from the home.

LOWER POTTSGROVE, PA — About 10 pounds of marijuana were confiscated from a Montgomery County home on Saturday night, according to police.

The seizure took place in Lower Pottsgrove on Feb. 3 at around 5:17 p.m., on the 1900 block of Keim Street.

Police were called to the scene after neighbors called to report an "open door" on the property.

Police detected a "very strong odor of marijuana" coming from the home, leading them to enter it to investigate.

Once inside, officers spoke with the residents and eventually obtained a search warrant. Their search came up with gold (or green): $5,000 in cash, drug paraphernalia, 70 grams of DAB marijuana concentrate, a digital scale, a loaded handgun....and about 10 pounds of marijuana.

Two residents inside the home were charged with possession of marijuana, possession of DAB, and possession with intent to deliver, in addition to related counts.

Preliminary hearings are forthcoming.
