1956 Royersford HS Graduate, 77, Passes Away; Loved Gardening, Hunting

Yeager was an avid gardener and hunter,and loved his John Deere truck, Penn State, and the Eagles.

LIMERICK, PA -- Richard Lees Yeager, 77, husband of G. Scarlett (Day) Yeager, Oak Lane, Limerick Township, died Thursday, September 1, 2016 surrounded by family.

Dick was born on December 1, 1938 at the family farm in Upper Providence Township. He was the youngest son of the late J. Lees and M. Edna (Shively) Yeager and grew up on the Yeager family's Willow Dale Farm on Yeager Road. He was a proud 1956 graduate of Royersford High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

He worked for fifty years at Keyser Miller Ford, lastly as service manager before retiring. He was a member of Spring City American Legion and Royersford VFW. Yeager was an avid gardener and hunter. He could always be found working in his garden with his John Deere tractor. He also enjoyed watching the Eagles and Penn State Football.

In addition to his wife of 38 years, Dick is survived by his children Barry, husband of Nancy (Kisch) Ziegler, Limerick, Ronald, husband of Michelle (Hansen) Yeager, Philadelphia, Sharon, wife of Brandon Bittner, Royersford and Kristoffer, husband of Crystal (Partlow) Ziegler, Pottstown; six grandchildren, Eric, Kyraen, Ainsley, Teagan, Shaelyn and Gavin. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Litchert and brother, Carl "Mickey" Yeager.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, Pennsylvania on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Ann Tweedie Few. Burial will be private. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday at Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home.
