2 Arrested For Royersford Burglary: Cops
Two burglars claimed they had been hired to "clean up trash" at a Royersford home undergoing renovations, police said.

ROYERSFORD, PA -- Two men have been arrested for burglary in Royersford after pretending to be part of a "clean up" crew for a house undergoing renovations, according to authorities.
Charles Carter, 28, of Clementon, New Jersey, and Grover Crandall, 28, of Philadelphia have both been charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft, and related counts, police said.
The incident occurred on Friday, Feb. 17 on North 5th Avenue in the borough, police said.

Carter stayed in the car with the engine running while Crandall went inside. A neighbor saw them and confronted them, and that's when they claimed that they had been hired to "clean up trash" at the home that was undergoing renovations, according to authorities.
Crandall left the scene with a box and a bag containing numerous items from the house, police said.

The neighbor reported the incident to police and the pair were pulled over nearby and arrested shortly thereafter.
Both were taken to Montgomery County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing has been set for March 3.
