2 Wrecks Wednesday Night On 422 Near Royersford, 1 Hospitalized

ROYERSFORD, PA — Two separate accidents involving multiple vehicles occurred on Wednesday night on 422 in the Royersford area, leaving one hospitalized.

The first incident occurred at about 7 p.m. in the eastbound lanes just after the Royersford exit.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash, which led to crews blocking one lane of traffic as they assessed the scene. One victim suffered minor injuries but did not go to the hospital.

Shortly thereafter, another two vehicle accident occurred about a mile away in the westbound lanes, in the left shoulder, authorities said.

One victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment with non life-threatening injuries.

The Royersford Fire Department issued a statement in the wake of the incidents, urging motorists to slow down and move over when they see emergency crews.
