5 Super Athletes With Ties To Limerick

Sports have a way of teaching invaluable life lessons — building character, fostering teamwork and strengthening the bonds within a community. In the Limerick area, these values have shaped some truly remarkable athletes from different eras, whose accomplishments continue to inspire.

Patch is celebrating five standout athletes whose achievements have left a lasting mark on our community. This list is just a snapshot, with countless other athletes helping shape the rich sports culture in our area.

1. Tori Alexander (Tennis)

Tori Alexander captured the Pioneer Athletic Conference girls' singles championship at Spring-Ford in 2017 before continuing her tennis career at West Chester University. She earned All-PSAC East First Team honors in singles and doubles as a sophomore and Second Team honors as a senior. The Spring-Ford Area School District recognized her championship season and qualification for the PIAA District One tournament.

2. Ryan Rosenblum (Lacrosse)

Ryan Rosenblum went from Spring-Ford to becoming a standout midfielder at Rochester Institute of Technology. He was a USILA Second Team All-American in 2021 after recording 30 points and helping RIT reach the NCAA Division III semifinals. Rosenblum also earned First Team All-Liberty League honors that season, and RIT lists his hometown as Royersford with Spring-Ford as his high school.

3. Molly Martin (Diving)

Molly Martin spent four years competing in diving at Spring-Ford before taking her talents to Sacred Heart University. She became a five-time Northeast Conference Diver of the Week and earned All-Conference honors at the NEC Championships as a junior. Sacred Heart's roster lists Martin as a Royersford resident and Spring-Ford graduate.

4. Brandon Ernst (Baseball)

Brandon Ernst put together a monster season at Lackawanna College after graduating from Spring-Ford and living in Limerick. In 2021, the catcher batted .481 with 63 hits, 18 doubles and eight home runs while posting a 1.349 OPS, earning First Team NJCAA Division II All-American honors. He later continued his college career at Bloomsburg, where he earned Second Team All-PSAC honors in 2023.

5. K.K. O'Donnell (Soccer)

K.K. O'Donnell starred at Spring-Ford before playing four seasons of college soccer at Shippensburg University. At Spring-Ford, she scored 17 goals, served as a team captain and earned All-Pioneer Athletic Conference and All-Area First Team honors. As a sophomore at Shippensburg, the Limerick resident started all 18 games and finished second on the team with four assists and 10 points.
