5 Things - The New Sports Format

Fall practice started on Monday and Rams sports are soon to be officially underway. Girls' golf starts next week, while some other sports have to wait until September. In the meantime, we wanted to inform you that we will be shying away from traditional "game stories" and focusing on the kids in this community both on and off the field.

With that being said, we will still have daily score updates from the coaches to supplement our stories, as well as weekly football coverage. Check out our special "5 Things" sports schedule!

1. Mondays - This Week in Rams Sports - This will be our weekly sports "5 Things." Here you can find the top five matchups to look for in Rams high school sports.

2. Tuesdays - Q&A with... - Each week, we'll have an opportunity to sit down with a fall athlete and pick his or her brain about their sport and life in general.

3. Wednesdays - College Corner - Remember the star athletes of yesteryear at Spring-Ford? Wondering how they're doing? Well, we're going to track them down and feature a Spring-Ford alum each week.

4. Thursdays - Unsung Hero - This is a story about an athlete that's not always in the limelight, but should be. Maybe this athlete shows exemplary ball skills, but doesn't have the stats to show it, or maybe he or she has a great attitude and the local papers don't pick up on it. Here is a chance for coaches to honor their athletes in a special way.

5. The Weekends - Every Friday night, we'll have someone at the Rams football game to report back to us with the final score and some notable plays/quotes after the game. You can check patch for an update within 15 minutes after game's end. Then, on Saturday, we'll have a complete recap of the Rams game (subject to change if the game is not on Friday night). Finally, we'll wrap things up with a full list of scores from the previous week on Sunday.
