Alderfer’s Experiences Record Breaking Sales at October’s Firearms & Militaria Auctions

Hatfield, Pennsylvania – Alderfer’s Auctioneers & Appraisers has record breaking sales at its October Firearms & Militaria Auctions
Alderfer’s Auction Center was aflutter with activity when collectors, sportsman and history buffs congregated to listen to the thrill of the chant in-house, online and live via facebook video. Many followed the auction with their vibrant full-color printed catalog as others utilized the free online digital catalog version.
The Firearms Auction boasted a Johnson Automatics Model 1941 semi-automatic rifle (lot 1301) that sold well above estimate at $7,200. An Enfield L42A1 bolt action rifle (lot 1299) followed suit with a strong $6,600 sale. The rifles were on fire, when a Barrett Model 82A1 semi-automatic rifle (lot 1330A) sold for $6,000. A Springfield Armory M1D Garand semi-automatic rifle (lot 1304) went for double its estimate selling at $4,500. German G41 rifle (lot 1292) and Japanese Arisaka Type 38 (lot 1273) sold for $4,200 and $3,900 respectively. The Militaria Auction created the buzz with its 1951 Willys M38A1 US Army Jeep selling for $15,300.
