ROYERSFORD, PA — One man was arrested after drunk driving in Royersford last week, police said.
The incident occurred at around 9:15 p.m. on Friday, May 22.
A stationary patrol pulled over a vehicle on Arch Street that was traveling with no rear lights.
Officers approaching the vehicle "could detect a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle and the driver," police said.
The driver, Eduardo Vargas, 51, had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes, according to authorities.
He later failed field sobriety tests, police said.
He was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility and charged with DUI. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
