LIMERICK TOWNSHIP, PA — A vehicle exploded during a fire in Limerick Township over the weekend, and firefighters extinguished the blaze.
The incident occurred on Saturday, Aug. 8 at around 1:50 p.m.
A vehicle was near the intersection of W. Ridge Pike and Royersford Road when it caught fire.
During the blaze the vehicle exploded, and burning debris hit the roof of a building about 20 feet away, authorities said.
Crews put out the blaze and then inspected the building to ensure there was no damage or additional fire.
The exact cause of the blaze is not yet known.
Fire police controlled traffic in the area of W. Ridge Pike and Royersford Road during the incident.
No injuries were reported.
