LIMERICK TOWNSHIP, PA — A significant amount beet juice and hydraulic fluid spilled following a crash in Limerick this week which left one person injured.
The incident occurred at around 7:25 a.m. on Sept. 15 on Limerick Center Road.
A farm tractor and a car collided, triggering the spills.
The fluids and beet juice ran across the roadway and over both vehicles.
The Limerick Fire Department and responding agencies said they had to use a large amount of absorbent to clean up the fluid.
Limerick Center Road was shut down between Enterprise Road and W. Cherry Lane while the scene was cleared.
The injured individual was taken to a nearby hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
