ROYERSFORD, PA — Halloween weekend is nearly here, and communities around the region are celebrating this week with parades, special giveaways, "trunk or treat" events, and more.
Meanwhile, several communities have announced official trick or treating hours and curfews for Halloween and Mischief Night.
In Royersford, trick or treating will be held from dusk to 8 p.m.
"If you are handing out candy, please turn your porch light on or put up some sort of decorations to make it apparent that we should stop and visit you," Royersford Mayor Alex Metricarti shared.
Nearby Spring City does not regulate their trick or treating, but generally follows the same schedule as Royersford.
The borough urges trick or treaters to use sidewalks and crosswalks and to carry a flashlight.
Drivers are also reminded to slow down and be wary of children running.
