The 112-year-old bridge was shut down on May 11 for critical repairs.

The existing single-span, I-beam structure was replaced with a pre-box culvert.

The new bridge was also widened to 30.5 feet, containing two full travel lanes and two shoulders.

The approaching roadways were resurfaced, and new bridge barriers and approach guiderails were also installed.
