Armed Road Rage Suspect Arrested In Spring City: Cops

A Spring City man was arrested following an armed road rage confrontation in the area on Wednesday, police said.

SPRING CITY, PA -- A Spring City man was arrested following an armed road rage confrontation in the area on Wednesday, police said.

The incident occurred at around 3:49 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon near the intersection of N. Penn Street and Bridge Street in the borough, according to a police report.

Lawrence Raimondi, 34, had been driving when he became angry with the victim, who was waiting in his vehicle in the area for children to be dropped off by their school bus, authorities said.

Raimondi allegedly waved a .380 semi-automatic pistol around, and also had a knife with a serrated blade on him, police said.

An off-duty officer happened to be driving by when he saw Raimondi and the victim "bumping against each other, chest to chest," police said.

Raimondi was taken into custody without incident and faces aggravated assault and weapons charges.

He was arraigned on Wednesday before Judge Donatelli and bail was set at $25,0000. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
