ROYERSFORD – The lightning in the sky was nothing compared to the electrical storm generated by the Central Bucks South bats Wednesday.
Living up their nickname, the Titans struck early and often, pounding out 10 hits – including a pair of home runs that produced five runs – in a 10-4 flogging of Spring-Ford in the second round of the District One Class AAAA baseball tournament at Rams Stadium.

CB South was in launch mode from the start, pushing across five runs in the top of the first inning – highlighted by Kyle Lewis’ RBI-double and Will Sasser’s two-run bolt to deep left – both with two outs.
The Rams clawed back within 7-4 when lightning was spotted on the horizon in the top of the sixth inning, forcing a one hour, 31-minute delay. But the stoppage did little to slow the Titans’ offensive flow. When action finally resumed, Brian Happ put an exclamation point on the destruction with a three-run bomb for a 10-4 lead, and reliever Paul Zakrzewski turned the lights out on Spring-Ford’s season with two scoreless innings of relief.
