3 Quick Tips to Make Your Garbage Disposal Smell Fresh and Clean

Odors coming from your garbage disposal are usually caused by food particles stuck in the small spaces. In order to clean it, use one of the following methods:

Pour 1/2 cup baking soda and 1 cup vinegar down the drain, close the drain and let the mixture bubble for a few minutes. Pour boiling water down the drain to flush everything through.

Grind up ice cubes to help sharpen the blades and clean the inside of your disposal. For stubborn smells, freeze vinegar into ice cubes and then grind.

Grind up orange or lemon peels or cut an orange in quarters and grind it up.
