An Open Letter to Richard Chakejian
An open letter to the Owner of Pennhurst, asking to visit his property.
Dear Mr. Chakejian:
At July’s EVT Planning Commission meeting, some of the commissioners said that they were not familiar with the Pennhurst site, especially the 87 acres you seek to rezone. Those members want to visit your property so they can have a better idea of how to react to your petition. I’m certain those arrangements are being made.
During that meeting, I was asked to obtain ideas for the use of your property from East Vincent residents, who are stakeholders in the PC’s ultimate decisions regarding your petition.

In response to my solicitation of property-use suggestions, a 40-year resident of East Vincent said he has never been to the Pennhurst site and that he would appreciate an opportunity to see for himself what exists and envision what could be.
Therefore, on behalf of the many East Vincent property owners and taxpayers interested in and concerned about your re-zoning petition, I ask that you consider a site tour allowing us to see for ourselves the scope and detail of your property and to listen to your vision of how you would like to develop the site.

In the interest of all, please let us know how you would accommodate such a visit, the maximum number of visitors, if you will allow members of the press to join this group and other conditions you think appropriate.
Accepting this request will demonstrate your desire to be inclusive of the community in determining the future of our township. It will also help to dispel rumors, innuendo and misinformation, allowing you to set the record straight.
You may reply to this blog or contact me directly. Your attorney has my personal contact information. My readers and I look forward to your reply.
