I am concerned that those seeking public office in Township or Borough are people free of issues that would impact their ability to perform the duties of the office/position they seek. Hear say of alleged issues can be misleading BUT formal back ground checks by county can be an eye opener. Mandated back ground checks to include criminal, abuse and driving would immediately throw up a red flag IF there was anything incriminating. We have Sunshine Laws in place. Why not have mandated back ground checks for the good of the whole.
