Results for the Fundraiser for Vets!
Wow! I don’t know where to start!
On Friday night, Kevin and I (Not So Publishing) joined
forces with The Main Street Café in Royersford to hold a Fundraiser for Vets,
in association with their Classic Car Cruze Night. What a wonderful night!

The cars began rolling in around 4pm. I don’t know names,
models, and years, but I can assure you they were some of the most beautiful,
well maintained, and pampered vehicles I have ever seen! I just hope the
pictures do them justice. We want to thank all of the participants
for bringing out their treasures for the evening. They are a wonderful, fun, group of people.

Kevin and I set up our table right in front of The Main Street Café. Thank you so much Anthony and Dean for being so welcoming and for your support of the Vets! If any of you ever thought about going to The Main Street Café, but haven’t gotten around to it, I suggest you get out and do it! You will feel right at home when you walk in the front door and the mouth watering aromas that come from the kitchen will activate your appetite. The staff are like family. There is nothing cold and impersonal at The Main Street Café. Your dining experience will fill you not only with good food, but with a sense of community and warmth.
We would also like to thank Royersford’s own Mayor Guest who dropped by to say hello and support the cause. The Mayor didn’t just stand by to observe the goings on, he was an active participant! The Mayor generously offered to stick his face in our Mr Stinkas cut out as a target for people to throw wet sponges (cheese) . You have to see the picture, it is priceless! Thank you again Mayor Guest! This former Philly girl was blown away by your support of our cause!
We would also like to thank Rick Fidler from State Representative Mark Painter’s office for coming by and supporting us as well. Rick actually put on a Salesman’s hat and encouraged passer’s by to take a look at our books and support the Vets! It is wonderful to know that we can count on our local leaders to give their time for the people they represent!
We would also like to give a huge Thank you to all of the people who gave so generously! I want to thank each and every one of you who purchased a book, bought a balloon, tossed the cheese, and gave generous donations to the collection jug. Due to your kindness and the kindness of the Main Street Café for
their donation, we were able to collect $500 for The Philadelphia Veterans Multi-Service and Education Center!!!!!!
I would like to assure you that your donations are going to benefit a truly wonderful organization based in Philadelphia. They run strictly on grants and donations and 95% of the funds they receive, go right out to the Vets programs . They provide legal help through the GI Bill, counseling, job training, job placement, food and shelter for homeless Vets, rehabilitation, and most of all a safe perimeter for Vets to go to, where the people understand completely what they are feeling and facing, because they have felt it and faced it themselves.
I encourage you to go to their website and read more about

Kevin and I enjoyed every minute of this wonderful experience! We didn’t know for sure what to expect. Not So Publishing has been around for 3 years now and we realize a lot of people have never heard of us. But we would like you to know that we are determined to make a difference with each and every book we publish.
We have heard beautiful stories of how our books have touched children’s lives. One of the most poignant is the mother of a sick child who had been through a lot. He had stopped laughing and smiling. His grandfather purchased, Mr Stinkas and The Little Cheese Shop for him. When his mother read it to him, he laughed for the first time in a very long time. And one night, as she was putting him to bed, he repeated the words of the last page,” So say good night, to all you are near, with a big hug and in my heart I will hold you dear. For nothing is better to say, or so it seems, to share, I love yous, good nights and pleasant dreams.”
Making a difference in both the readers lives and the lives of those helped by the charities brings us more joy than you can imagine! So if you see us at an event, please stop by and say hello! We love talking to people and sharing our story.
