Go Here, Not There and Make it Magical!
Make your next event MAGICAL while supporting a local, independent business!
Go Here, Not There! is a tool. Use it to get the best deals on goods while supporting local, independently-owned businesses. As American consumers, we were born to believe the better deal equates to less dollars, but other factors matter just as much: the quality of the product, the fit between the product and the consumer, and an expert staff trained to understand the importance of both. Go Here, Not There! and get your money’s worth while protecting the fabric of our
neighborhoods and local businesses.
It’s your special day, and you’ve been planning it for months. It’s your wedding day, your parents’ Golden Wedding Anniversary, your daughter’s Sweet Sixteen, or your company’s holiday gala. Everything has to be perfect, including the entertainment. Who should you trust to play the right music, enhance the mood with decorative lighting, take pictures that will make lifetime memories, and pitch-hit as your event coordinator? Is it the Big Box Corporation who plans parties up and down the east coast? Or the local independent – the folks who have their roots in your community? There’s only one MAGICAL answer…
Magical Sight and Sound, located in Spring City, is a home-grown,
full-service entertainment, photography and lighting company founded by Rebecca
Interrante, President, and Tom Carroll, Vice President. With their combined 15
years of experience in the entertainment industry, they guarantee a seamless
event that you and your guests will enjoy from start to finish. Says
Interrante, “Our priority is to please our customers. We provide personalized
service; when you hire us, you get us. By the day of your event, we've already
formed a relationship.”

In their case, “us” means two talented entertainers with musical,
public speaking, broadcasting, stage management, and managerial experience, who first founded a business - and later a marriage. Their expertise and status as
owners of Magical Sight and Sound means they can customize their services to
meet client needs. The pair has offered DJ services and lighting since 2005,
and in 2008 Rebecca found her true calling and added photography to their list
of offerings. Over the years, they’ve carefully added a small handful of
specially trained DJs and photographers to help them as needed.
Having grown up in the Phoenixville and Spring-Ford areas, the
owners are eager to give back to the community. Interrante believes, “Our
biggest goal in wealth building is not money. It's not a larger house, nice
cars, boats, jewelry - none of that matters. None of that lasts. It's all about
relationships. We love being included in the lives of our clients. We love
following their accomplishments and having the opportunity to grow with them
and capture memories through photographing their babies and high school events,
being the DJ for their Sweet 16 or 21st birthday parties, providing the live
entertainment for their weddings.”

Magical Sight and Sound stands behind their values by being flexible and “customizing just about everything. We will work within your budget.” And the budget doesn’t have to break the bank. For $1,200, Magical provides up to six hours of entertainment with DJ Tom Carroll, including two sound systems, an additional speaker, upgraded dance floor lighting, uplights, an online event planner and playlist creator. Travel, set-up and break-down are included.
Compare that to entertainment-giant EBE, Events and Entertainment.
Their DJ costs vary depending on the day of the week (Saturdays are more
expensive than Fridays), the time of year (January, February and March are less
expensive than the rest of the year), and the DJ himself (the more experienced
the DJ, the more expensive). So if you want six hours of entertainment on a
Friday in the winter with their less sought-after talent, the package may only
cost about $1,000. Otherwise, be prepared to pay more like $1,500.
Magical offers custom montage creation: Basic for about $75 and
the Deluxe for around $300. EBE runs about $800 for a montage of up to 100
photos. Both companies offer accent lighting; EBE charges on a case by case
basis. Magical offers additional uplighting, static or color changing lights,
cake spots, texture washes, and custom monogram projection, all at specified
prices. Magical Sight and Sound features photography packages to fit every
occasion and budget, ranging from a wedding package for $2,500 to a wide range
of individual and family photo sessions at reasonable prices, on location or in
studio. EBE doesn’t offer photography at all.
What they do offer? Discounts if you purchase multiple services, because “We’re like buying soap at BJ’s. The more you buy the cheaper it is.” But if what you’re
looking for is quality, affordable entertainment services from people who know
their customers and their craft, then make yours Magic. Says Interrante, “We
are completely what our customers want us to be, and we double as your event
coordinator for the day with our attention to detail.” Go here, not there and
get a great deal more than a great deal!
