Happy Birthday Trey Love!!!

Many of us are familiar with that precious little smile. We’ve lost our hearts to this sweet little boy! Today is his 5^th Birthday! What is the best gift he and his parents could get today? Not toys, IPods, video games, or DVDs.  Of course all of us would do anything we could to be part of his complete recovery. But how can we do that? Here is what Trey’s mother wrote on his Facebook page the other day:

“So in the upcoming weeks, please pray with everything you have.  Please spread the word and lets have the world pray for Trey. You do not need our permission to use pictures of Trey or his story for prayers or to spread the awareness of childhood cancer.  We need a cure and we need it now.  Today is the first day in 4 weeks that Trey is almost 100% back to his normal self.  He is laughing, talking and being is adorable orney self. It makes my heart glow:) “

There you have it. It wouldn’t cost a dime. Just a few moments of your time.   Pray, Facebook his story, email your friends, tell your co-workers, be creative! September was Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. But the need doesn’t stop on October 1^st.  Only 3% of the money donated to the American Cancer Society goes towards children’s cancer research.  One mother of a boy who lost his battle with cancer in August said that her son’s treatments were from a 40 year old protocol. There have been no new advancements in treatment for many childhood cancers.

Someone needs to do something, and that someone is you, it’s me, it’s your neighbor, it’s the clerk in the store, it’s the guy who delivers the pizza, it’s the truck driver, it’s the little league coach, no matter who you are, YOU can do SOMETHING!

 Every day 46 children are diagnosed with some form of cancer. One day, Trey became one of those children.  Today, let’s give Trey and his parents a wonderful  gift! Please post your messages here to Trey and his family and spread the word! Your support means the world to them!
