Heading to the 2012 Democratic Convention
Accompany your elected Democratic Delegate "LIVE" to the 2012 DNC Convention. "The Democratic Corner" & Twitter user name: @fsbsuperv, is all that will be needed.

In approximately 36 hours, at 3am, Sunday morning, I will be leaving Limerick Township to represent the Democratic Voters of the 6th Congressional District. As most of you are aware, this year's Convention will be held in Charlotte, NC which is approximately 550 miles away.
If you're interested in seeing a preview of what the Convention Floor will look like for the 1st two nights of the convention, here is a video link on it's creation using time lapsed photography: http://www.demconvention.com/convention-podium-unveiled/
The itinerary from Sunday thru Thursday is quite full from very early each morning until late each nite, running into a new day. There are breakfast meetings, caucus meetings and the main convention events Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday evenings. In addition there are numerous receptions, where major political figures, and media personalties will be in attendance as well.

The 1st two nites of the main convention will be in the indoor sports arena. Among the keynote speakers are our 1st Lady, Michelle Obama, on Tuesday evening, and President Bill Clinton on Wednesday nite. The last night of the convention, will be held in the outdoor stadium with Community attendees, as well as the delegates; (Over 100,000+). On that evening, both President Barack Obama, and Vice President Joe Biden, will accept the Democratic Party's nomination for their respective offices for a second term.
I had the opportunity of attending President Clinton's 1st convention in 1992 in Madison Square Garden in NYC as a guest for 1 day, and it was the most humbling and exhilarating experience that any one who has been in politics, can participate in.

Now that I am a selected, and elected committed delegate for Presdent Obama, I look forward to be a part of the entire PA. delegation (250 strong), that will be there in Charlotte when the roll call votes of the States takes place, and when Pennsylvania casts its votes for its Democratic Party Candidate for President of the United States of America.
Many of you will be watching abbreviated brodcasts on the major TV networks on Tues, Wed & Thurs evenings from 10-11pm. Some of you who have more interest will be tuned into CNN, as well as other News Networks for more extensive coverage.
As I will be attending many events that will not have complete media coverage, I will be writing a daily Blog on this site at www.LimerickPatch.com and under the Column, "The Democratic Corner", which I started a number of months ago. I also have established a Twitter account recently under the user name: @fsbsuperv, and will be tweeting and uploading photo's live as they happen.
I encourage you to follow along with me on my travels to Charlotte, and feel free to comment and reply on the Blog, and if you have a Twitter Account, become a follower. I look forward to hearing from you during the Convention next week.
Frank S. Burstein, Delegate 2012 Democratic National Convention
