Recap of the 2012 Democratic Convention with additional photos and media

Following almost a week of nonstop travelling, conventioneering & basically having an experience that I will never forget, I have come back down to earth :-), and eventually caught up with some sleep.

From the time I had left Limerick at 2am Sunday, September 1st, until I returned home on Friday evening, September 7th, I clocked exactly 8 hours of sleep, but the experience I will never forget.

As I had mentioned in my last blog, which summarized Days 4 & 5 at the Convention, I had attached a number of photographs and video links. I am going to post the links for each blog, if you have not already seen them, which include some photos & videos, including the speechs given by Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and President Barack Obama, to name a few.

In addition, I have given to Alyson D'Alessandro, the Limerick Patch Editor, two (2) DVD discs, of additional candid photo's and videos that I captured during the week long stay in Charlotte. They say that a picture says a thousand words; however after reading my descriptive blogs, the additonal photos, and videos will hopefully provide you with a much closer look at the Democratic National Convention, as though you were my travelling companion :-).

I will continue this Blog with newsworthy events, as well as items of poltical interest. To note, on this coming Saturday, September 22nd, from 10am - 4pm, Limerick Township will be hosting "Limerick Community Day" in Mandarek Park, on Swamp Pike just east of Kugler Road. The Limerick Democrats, will be hosting a table under the Pavillion, with candidate information, voter registration forms, as well as being able to answer any questions you may still have regarding the New Voter ID rules. A number of Candidates, including Mark Painter for State Representative, and Manan Trevedi a candidate for Congress will also be there.
