Spring, sprung months ago for the Real Estate Market but as the weather gets milder and we begin to think about spring cleaning we also think about re-decorating and de-cluttering
I often get asked about staging during my listing appointments. Home Staging is the act of preparing a private residence for sale in the real estate marketplace. The goal of staging is to make a home appealing to the highest number of potential buyers, thereby selling a property more swiftly and for more money. Staging techniques focus on improving a property's appeal by transforming it into a welcoming, attractive product that anyone might want.
And De-clutter De-clutter De-clutter... Remember, the goal of selling is to move. (But even if you are not selling spring cleaning is a perfect time to evaluate your "stuff") You are going to have to pack ALL your things at some point, so why not get some of it packed up now, make your house look bigger and ultimately have less to pack when the day does arrive. Go through the house, pack up some things that will make a difference; we don't suggest that you empty the place – you do still live there after all; and put them in a self-storage facility.
