Spring-Ford Boys Lacrosse Earns the #15 seed in District 1 Playoffs

PAC-10 teams to compete in District 1 Boys Lacrosse Playoffs starting Tuesday May 14th.

It's hard to reboot after very emotional wins but when the stakes get higher, that's exactly what a team needs to do.  After Thursday's incredible 10-9 double OT victory in the PAC-10 Championship over nemesis Owen J. Roberts, the Rams learned they would be the #15 seed in the District 1 Boys Lacrosse playoffs and they would host Downingtown West on Tuesday night at 7 PM at Coach McNelly Stadium.

The Rams finished the season at 15-4 as PAC-10 Champions while Downingtown West finished at 9-9 and were awarded the #18 seed.  The PAC-10 also received two other bids with Owen J. Roberts garnering the #21 seed and will play at #12 Central Bucks East while Methacton earned the #26 seed and will travel to play #7 Ridley.

The Rams will look to go beyond the first round after last year's dissappointing 9-7 lost to Great Valley in a game stopped at the end of the 3rd because of thunderstorms.  They resumed play the next day but Spring-Ford was unable to mount any pressure in the 4th and fell to Great Valley who made a run into the First Round of States.  The Rams would welcome such a run and have the ability to do so. The road to states begins tomorrow night at 7 PM.

They will have to put a tremendous sports memory behind them for now and recharge the emotional battery against what is sure to be a young but talented team in Downingtown West who is starting to hit their stride and will be looking to build their own success.  The Rams will certainly be ready to take on the challenge and defend their home turf.
