Spring-Ford Celebrates Music In Schools
The month of March is nationally recognized as Music In the Schools and this year the Spring-Ford Music Department will be on display Monday, March 25th and Tuesday March 26th

The month of March is nationally recognized as Music In the Schools and this year the Spring-Ford Music Department will be on display Monday, March 25th and Tuesday March 26th.
Starting at 7 PM, Monday night at Spring-Ford HS, 10-12 Center on stage under the direction of Mr. Seth Jones, the 9th Grade Band will be performing two musical pieces showing off their talents. Next on stage will be the 10-12th Grade Concert Band, which will perform three musical selections. The talents of the students that are members of the SF Winter Guard under the direction for Mr. Thomas Vandergrift will be performing their production entitled “The Audition, I Want to Be A Star,” performed to music from the musical “A Chorus Line” in the gym, along with the new dance team that is made up of members of the guard who will perform their production to the music from the movie, “Ghost.”. Under the direction of Mr. Mark Thurston the SF winter percussion ensemble will be performing their original production “There’s Always One”. All three of these groups are made up from members of the Spring-Ford Band Programs.

Tuesday night at 7 PM at the 9th Grade Center on stage the Spring-Ford MS Choir and Gold-n-Blues, a separate ensemble, under the direction of Mr. Robert Bennett will be presenting their skills and vocal excellence for all to enjoy. Also the Spring-Ford HS Vocal Ensemble, under the direction of Mrs. Yvonne O’Dea, will be presenting the vocal talents of the students of Spring-Ford. This year the vocal ensemble will be performing in Washington, DC at the Lincoln Center.
Both of these evenings of music are free and open to the public to come out and enjoy the sounds of the Spring-Ford School District.
