Spring-Ford High School Marching Band 2012

Spring-Ford High School Marching Band 2012 season.

Well school is back in session and the Thursday night before the first Spring-Ford Football game, so that can mean nothing else for the students in 7th thru 12th grade and in the bands in the Spring-Ford School District!  It’s 2012 Marching Band Preview Night at Coach McNally Stadium with the Spring-Ford Middle School and Spring-Ford High School Marching Bands to show friends, families, alumni and school district officials what is in store for the fall season.

First on to the turf was the SFMS Marching Band under the direction of award winning director, Ms. Kris Jennings.   The seventh and eighth grade students presented to the audience of approximately 700 what they have learned so far during August.  They showed lots of spirit and promise of yet another outstanding fall season which musically should have the folks in the stands enjoying their show which is highlighted with “Party Rock”!

Next out was the SFHS “Ram” Marching Band this year under the direction of its new director, Mr. Seth Jones.  Mr. Jones spent a few minutes introducing himself and some his past before arriving at Spring-Ford from the San Francisco, CA area.  This year’s band of 125 members presented the first two parts of its three part show titled “RED”.  This year’s show features music from the nations of Russia, England and Japan, which were all written by Dr. Andrew Yozviak over the years and this year put together offering a different favor from the past presentations.    The Marching RAMS also presented for the first time the new fight song written for Spring-Ford by Dr. Yozviak of West Chester University commissioned by the district.  Based on the presentation of the 2012 show “RED” and SF Fight song the band again should have the stands rocking as they support the football team and opening marching band fans eyes/ears.
