Car Crashes Into Limerick Creek, Police Investigate

The vehicle went airborne after striking some rocks and eventually landed in a nearby creek.

LIMERICK, PA - Officials are investigating an accident in Limerick in which a 19-year-old lost control of his vehicle and crashed into Landis Creek, according to a report.

Gary Eder was driving west of Heffner Road when he lost control and the vehicle struck a set of decorative rocks on a nearby property, the Pottstown Mercury reports.

The silver Ford Taurus then launched into the air and landed in the creek.

Eder suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Speed was a factor in the crash, Limerick police said.

Lewis Environmental Services Inc. was called to the scene due to the amount of fluids from the vehicle that had leaked into the creek, the report states.
