Car Wrecked After Weekend Accident In East Vincent

One person was injured and one person fled the scene of the crash.

EAST VINCENT TOWNSHIP, PA — One person was injured and one person fled the scene of a one car crash in East Vincent Township on Friday night, according to authorities.

The incident occurred on the 3800 block of Schuylkill Road.

When first responders arrived on the scene, the vehicle had crashed off the road into some woods and a woman was stuck inside, authorities said.

The vehicle, a gray four-door car, was severely damaged in the crash.

The woman that was stuck inside the car was rescued by authorities. Her condition was not immediately available.

One individual fled the scene and was pursued by police. An investigation is underway.

Schuylkill Road was shut down between Park Road and Stoney Run Road for about 90 minutes after the crash, authorities said.
