Ciresi Plays Scrooge in ‘A Christmas Carol’ - Reception Following
Ciresi Fundraiser Reception for the 146th Following Final Matinee Performance at Steel River Playhouse. Venue is Across the Street !!!
Joe Ciresi, who has been known to try his hand at community theater, will be on stage this Sunday at Steel River in Pottstown for the final showing of 'A Christmas Carol, The Musical.'
The departing president of the Spring-Ford Area School Board and current Democratic candidate for the 146th State Representative seat will be playing Ebenezer Scrooge.
While the play is sold-out, tickets are still available for the post-show reception, which will be held at Connections on High (238 E. High Street) from 4 until 6 p.m. Reception tickets are $35 per person, including food and drinks. They may be purchased at the door or at www.Ciresiforpa.com.

‘A Christmas Carol’ Director Michael Licata said the political times we are living in offer a new prism to reacquaint ourselves with Charles Dickens’ message of social justice. He added that the current president is on the receiving end of a couple of jokes/references during the performance.
“Choosing love will bring us redemption and acceptance of our fellow man,” Licata wrote.

The cast also includes Amanda Morrell as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Michael Thorton as the Ghost of Christmas Present and Julie Preston as the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. Rounding out this first rate cast includes other local favorites such as Sebastian Antonio as Marley, Rob Tilley as Cratchit and Mason Keith as Tiny Tim.
