Construction Leads To Traffic Backups On 422 Near Oaks

OAKS, PA — A lane closure has backed up traffic significantly on Route 422 near Oaks Thursday afternoon.

Crews were installing beams in the area, PennDOT said.

Several motorists reported spending more than an hour on the road traveling between local exits.

The closure between the Oaks and Route 23 interchange was scheduled to be in place from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Officials were hopeful the work would be complete before rush hour.
