Construction Planned On 422 This Weekend, Lanes Restricted

Lane closures are scheduled this weekend as construction gets underway along a stretch of eastbound 422.

A five mile stretch of the road between the Royersford/Trappe and Sanatoga interchanges will see bridge construction, concrete patching, and saw cutting operations between Park Road and Township Line Road in Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove.

On Friday, Aug. 2 and Friday, Aug. 9 from 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. the next morning, the ramp from 422 to the Sanatoga Interchange will be shut down.

On Sunday, Aug. 4 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., the left lane of the road will shut down between Airport Road and Township Line Road. That closure will also be in place from Monday, Aug. 5 through Thursday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 a.m.

From Friday, Aug. 9 to Monday, Aug. 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 a.m., the right lane will close along that same stretch, from Airport Road to Township Line Road.

Motorists should plan for delays and slowdowns.
