Downed Wires Lead To Numerous Road Closures In Upper Providence
Several roads in the area have been shut down. Spring-Ford said they expect many bus routes to run late this afternoon.
UPPER PROVIDENCE, PA — Several roads around the Upper Providence area have been shut down Monday due to high winds. Spring-Ford Area School District expects many of their routes to be delayed this afternoon as a result, they said.
Road closures that were in place as of 1:30 p.m. include the following:
- Pennypacker Road, between Ridge Pike and Linfield Trappe Road. A large tree went down, bringing power lines with it, police said. PECO crews are on the scene.
- Pruss Hill Road (between Masters Drive and Rupert Road)
- Yeager Road, between Mingo Road and Meadowgreen Drive. Downed wires are across the road, officials said.
- Township Line Road (between the YMCA and Oehlerts)
Motorists should plan for delays.
