It's time once again for Ted The Fiddler's
Big Time Birthday Bash!
Join Ted The Fiddler, John Lionarons and Ric Lake with their special guests Will Hodgson of the Mighty Manatees and Kris Yeaworth of Blob fame for an intimate evening of improvised music, stories and a surprise or two. It's Ted on the fiddle, Ted on the guitar, Ted telling stories, Ted showing old cartoons. The world revolves around Ted for one evening as we celebrate Ted's 59th Birthday.
Ted has been a staple of the suburban Philly music scene for more than four decades, sitting in or recording with anybody who's anybody in the Folk Rock community. A frequent guest with The Mighty Manatees, Ted also fronts his own band and holds court with the bluegrassy trio, The Stumble Down The Mountain Boys. Inspired by Vassar Clements and a student of John Hartford, Ted has developed his own unique style of performing, mixing good down home music with a generous dose of humors stories.
This year's show has been moved to Chaplin's The Music Cafe in Spring City, Pa., a much smaller and more intimate club just down the hill from the Rt 422 Royersford Exit. Chaplin's also features food and has a BYOB policy. There is also the Spring City Hotel next door with a full dinner menu and even some rooms to rent. Tickets online at Chaplin's in advance are $12 and $15 at the door.
We've also changed the date to the Saturday before Christmas for those who kept complaining Ted's real Birthday was too close to Christmas Eve. So if you're not already signed up for something on Dec 17th at 8pm, consider coming out to Ted The Fiddler's Big Time Birthday Bash!
