SPRING CITY, PA — Spring City is getting a makeover.

"These improvements take time and will not happen overnight, but they are coming," Alberico said. "Most importantly, these efforts are not limited to Main Street alone. Positive changes are happening throughout every corner of our Borough."

Alberico announced the coming push in a love letter of sorts to the borough that praised local businesses. He also pointed to new features like the RAM sculpture on Main Street, sidewalk chalk messages at Alisan Road Mercantile, the bench in front of Neighbors Barbershop, flower and outdoor seating at Four Winds Tattoo and Tuned Up Brewing Company, window displays at Wild Blooms, and numerous freshly painted storefronts near Mytech.

"These small touches make a big difference," he said. "And help create the welcoming community we all love."

The borough has seen numerous improvements in recent years, some of them spearheaded by the Spring City Improvements League. In 2023, local artist Ellie McIntosh completed a large-scale mural on Main Street.

The "Gateway to Chester County" mural near Yost Street features the region's rolling hills and fields.

A specific timeline for the coming improvements has not yet been announced.
