Fire Alarm At Spring-Ford School Was Accidentally Pulled
The fire alarm at Spring City Elementary on Tuesday afternoon was accidentally pulled, school officials said.

SPRING CITY, PA — The fire alarm at Spring City Elementary on Tuesday afternoon was the result of a pull station accidentally being triggered, school officials said Wednesday.
The alarm went off just as students were being dismissed from school.
The district said that most students were either already dismissed or were in the process of being signed out by a parent.

Liberty Fire Co. responded to the scene "very quickly," the district said, and evacuated all children and personnel safely from the scene.
An investigation determined that the pull station had been "unintentionally bumped." Measures are being taken to outfit the stations with a special cover to ensure the same thing doesn't happen again, officials said.
