Fire Battled At East Pikeland Home Monday

EAST PIKELAND, PA — Crews responded to the scene of a fire at a home in East Pikeland Township Monday afternoon.

The fire was reported on the 800 block of Spring City Road at around 2:45 p.m.

The fire began in the basement, according to reports from the scene.

Crews from Kimberton Fire Company are joined by Royersford Fire Department, Perkiomen Township Fire Company, and several nearby municipalities on the scene.

All units were cleared from the scene shortly after 4 p.m.

It's not yet clear what caused the fire or if there are any injuries.

Motorists were urged to avoid the area.
