Roads Reopen After Fire In Upper Providence

Firefighters put out a blaze at a home in Upper Providence Thursday.

UPPER PROVIDENCE, PA — Firefighters extinguished a fire at a home in Upper Providence Thursday, and roads in the area have been reopened.

The incident occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on the 200 block of Green Tree Road, near the intersection with Pin Oaks Drive, according to Montgomery County Active Incidents.

The fire took place near a driveway for Oaks Elementary School, and parents were directed to use the Black Road Road side of Green Tree to pick up students.

The cause of the blaze is not yet clear. Firefighters were cleared from the scene shortly after extinguishing it.

Crews from several municipalities responded.
